Calverley, Greengates, Fagley

After leaving the main road in Calverley we entered a long, straight, tree lined drive, almost like a disused railway line. However, according to the 1896 OS map there is no evidence of a railway or it leading to a big house etc. The drive is named Calverley Cutting, presumably because it goes in a cutting underneath Clara Drive, and continues in a straight line, bridging the canal, to Parkin Lane and Apperley Road to the old bridge over the River Aire, opposite the George & Dragon.
A great site but ‘Dandies not Daffies’ Blue Bell Time I’m afraid you will need to visit Woodhall Hills to read the details.

Easy under foot and no stiles. No serious hills.
Food orders to be taken prior to walk. See website for menu. Not the cheapest but hopefully you will find something to suit.
