Meet: 10.15 for 10.30 Start
Getting There: To avoid coming through Bingley take the Bingley relief road at the Bankfield hotel roundabout then after approx.. 2.5 miles at the first roundabout take the second exit then after 200 yards at the next roundabout take the first exit towards Keighley. After 1/2 a mile the pub is on the left hand side.
The Walk: starts with a steady pull up to West Morton, but hey after that it’s ‘more or less’ level or downhill. From West Morton I have two options to walk to East Morton and will decide which one to take on the day depending on the level of mud that could be present on one of the options. From East Morton we head back via Micklethwaite and the canal. Length is 4 to 4.25 miles and, apart from the afore mentioned serious mud, there is the potential for one or two less muddy sections.
